Clayhatchee Town is a town located in Dale County, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 501 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 493, It is the 132nd least populous in the U.S. state of Alabama. The town extends throughout a territory of 2.72 square miles (7.04 square kilometre ), giving it the 145th smallest by total area among Alabama.
