Clarkston City is a United States city located in the Asotin County, Washington, United States. It is home to over 7337 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 7207, It is the 131st largest in terms of population. The city has a total area of 2.03 mi˛ (5.26 square kilometre), of which, 1.93 square miles (5 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 325th largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

The population density was 3805.4 people per square mile (1469.27/km˛), it is the 27th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Washington. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 25.7% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 20% from 45 to 64, and 18% who were 65 or older. The median age is 35.8 years, The median age of males was 32.2 years, for females the median age was 39 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 6928 White, 25 Black or African American, 118 American Indian, 48 Asian, 2 Native Hawaiian, 158 from two or more races and 58 Ohter races.
