Clark County is a United States county located in the United States of Washington. As of 2000 the population was 345238. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 424733, It is the fifth largest in terms of population. It is spread over 656.22 square miles (1699.6 square kilometre), of which, 628.22 square miles (1627.08 square kilometre ) of it is land and 27.99 square miles (72.49 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the sixth smallest by total area in Washington.

The population density was 549.5 people per square mile (212.16/kmē), it is Washington's third most densely populated county. There were 134030 housing units at an average density of 213.3 per square mile (82.36/kmē). The average household size was 2.69 persons, and the average family size was 3.15 persons. In the county Population was distributed with 28.7% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 9.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.9 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 424733, The racial makeup of the county was 89.94% White, 2.18% Black or African American, 0.97% American Indian, 3.87% Asian, 0.42% Native Hawaiian, and 2.62% from two or more races.
