Clark County is a county located in the United States of South Dakota. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 4143 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 3436, It is the 44th largest in terms of population. The county spans an area of 967.79 miē (2506.56 kmē), of which, 957.92 square miles (2481 kmē) of it is land and 9.87 square miles (25.56 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 33rd largest by total area among South Dakota's county.

Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3436, The racial makeup of the county was 98.54% White, 0.09% Black or African American, 0.84% American Indian, 0.12% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, and 0.38% from two or more races.
