Clark County is a county located in Nevada, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 1375765 as per the Census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1865746, It is most populous county in Nevada. The county encompasses an area of 8090.66 mi˛ (20954.71 square kilometre ), of which, 7910.34 square miles (20487.69 square kilometre) of it is land and 180.32 square miles (467.03 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the sixth largest by total area in Nevada. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in Nevada.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1375765 people, 512253 households, and 339693 families living in the county. The population density was 173.9 people per square mile (67.14/km˛), it is second most densely populated county in Nevada. There were 559799 housing units at an average density of 70.8 per square mile (27.34/km˛). The average household size was 2.65 people, and the average family size was 3.17 people. In the county Age distribution was 25.6% under the age of 18, 9.2% from 18 to 24, 32.2% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 96.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 97.3 females. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1865746, The racial makeup of the county was 1449410 White, 194045 Black or African American, 19660 American Indian, 135895 Asian, 11514 Native Hawaiian, and 55222 from two or more races.
