Clark County is a United States county located in the United States of Missouri. In 2000, the population was 7416. Its population was estimated at 7180 in July 2008, giving it the 14th smallest population among Missouri's county. Its area is just over 511.9 square miles (1325.81 kmē), of which, 507.31 square miles (1313.93 kmē) of it is land and 4.59 square miles (11.89 kmē) of it is water, making it Missouri's 37th smallest county by total area.

The population density was 14.6 people per square mile (5.64/kmē), it would be the 22nd least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Missouri. In the county the population was spread out, with 25% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 25% from 45 to 64, and 16.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 102.5 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 106.4 females. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 7180, The racial makeup of the county was 98.79% White, 0.29% Black or African American, 0.21% American Indian, 0.06% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 0.64% from two or more races.
