Clark County is a county located in Kentucky, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 33144 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 35691, It is the 31st largest in terms of population. It is spread over 255.16 square miles (660.86 kmē), of which, 254.31 square miles (658.66 kmē ) of it is land and 0.85 square miles (2.2 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 34th smallest by total area among Kentucky's county.


As of the census of 2000, there were 33144 people, 13015 households, and 9548 families living in the county. The population density was 130.3 people per square mile (50.31/kmē), making it the 17th most densely populated county in Kentucky.
