Clark County is a county located in the United States of Arkansas. It is home to over 23546 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 23888, It is Arkansas's 30th most populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 882.6 sq mi (2285.92 kmē ), of which, 865.43 square miles (2241.45 kmē) of it is land and 17.17 square miles (44.47 kmē) of it is water, making it the tenth largest by size in Arkansas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 23546 people, 8912 households, and 5820 families residing in the county. The population density was 27.2 people per square mile (10.5/kmē), making its Arkansas's 42nd most densely populated county. There were 10166 housing units at an average density of 11.7 per square mile (4.52/kmē). The average household size was 2.38 persons, and the average family size was 2.91 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 21.7% under the age of 18, 20% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.9 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 23888, The racial makeup of the county was 17899 White, 5343 Black or African American, 125 American Indian, 189 Asian, 15 Native Hawaiian, and 317 from two or more races.
