Claremont City is a United States city located in the Sullivan County, New Hampshire, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Claremont City is home to 13151 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 12968 in July 2008, It is the tenth most populous in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. Its area is just over 44.09 square miles (114.19 square kilometre), of which, 43.12 square miles (111.68 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.96 square miles (2.49 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the fourth largest by area in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in New Hampshire.

The racial makeup of the city was 97.67% White, 0.31% Black or African American, 0.33% American Indian, 0.62% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, 0.92% from two or more races and 0.12% Other races.
