Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 10848, It is the 14th smallest in terms of population. The county extends throughout a territory of 501.36 square miles (1298.52 kmē ), of which, 486.77 square miles (1260.73 kmē) of it is land and 14.59 square miles (37.79 kmē) of it is water, it is the 50th largest in terms of geographical size.
