Cimarron County, Oklahoma is a county of the United States of Oklahoma. As of 2000 the population was 3148. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 2556, making it the least populous county in Oklahoma. The county extends throughout a territory of 1841.17 mi˛ (4768.61 square kilometre ), of which, 1835.04 square miles (4752.73 square kilometre) of it is land and 6.13 square miles (15.88 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the fourth largest by total area in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3148 people in the county, organized into 1257 households, and 868 families residing in the county. The population density was 1.7 people per square mile (0.66/km˛), it is the least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. There were 1583 housing units at an average density of 0.9 per square mile (0.35/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.47 persons, and the average family size was 3.07 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.6% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 24% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.3 males. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 2556, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 96.13% White, 0.82% Black or African American, 1.25% American Indian, 0.2% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 1.6% from two or more races.
