Christian County is a county in the United States of Kentucky. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 72265 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 79820, giving it the tenth largest population among Kentucky's county. The county spans an area of 724.01 mi˛ (1875.18 square kilometre), of which, 721.32 square miles (1868.21 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.69 square miles (6.97 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the second largest in terms of geographical size.

For every 100 females there were 106.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 107.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 79820, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 75.12% White, 21.5% Black or African American, 0.43% American Indian, 0.98% Asian, 0.22% Native Hawaiian, and 1.75% from two or more races.
