Chowchilla City is a city located in Madera County, California, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, the population was 11127. Its population was estimated at 19193 in July 2008, It is the 417th largest in terms of population. The city encompasses an area of 7.1 sq mi (18.39 sq km), it is the 433rd largest in terms of geographical size.
