Choctaw City is a city in the Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States. As of 2000 the population was 9377. Its population was estimated at 11354 in July 2008, giving it the 43rd largest population among Oklahoma. It has total area of 27.09 mi˛ (70.16 square kilometre), of which, 27.07 square miles (70.11 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 31st largest by size in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9377 people, 3450 households, and 2810 families living in the city. The population density was 346.4 people per square mile (133.75/km˛), it is Oklahoma's 448th most densely populated city. There were 3617 housing units at an average density of 133.6 per square mile (51.58/km˛). The average household size was 2.69 persons, and the average family size was 2.99 persons. In the city Age distribution was 25.9% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 27.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 96.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.1 males. The median age of the city's population was 38.1 years, the median age of male residents at 37.4 and the median age of female residents at 38.8. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 8327 White, 154 Black or African American, 347 American Indian, 58 Asian, 6 Native Hawaiian, 405 from two or more races and 80 Ohter races.
