The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 12929, It is the 55th most populous in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The city has a total area of 11.38 mi˛ (29.47 sq km), of which, 10.85 square miles (28.1 sq km) of it is land and 0.53 square miles (1.37 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 53rd largest by total area among Wisconsin.
