Chipley City is a city located in the Washington County, Florida, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3592 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 3779, It is the 500th most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.12 square miles (10.67 square kilometre ), it is the 395th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

The population density was 872.5 people per square mile (336.87/kmē), giving it the 267th least densely populated city among the Florida.
