As of July 2008, the estimated population was 73879, It is the 100th largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 44.87 sq mi (116.21 kmē), of which, 44.81 square miles (116.06 kmē) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, making it California's 44th largest by total area.
