Chilton City is a city located in Calumet County, Wisconsin, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 3708. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 3576, It is 157th most populous in Wisconsin. The city extends throughout a territory of 3.91 square miles (10.13 square kilometre ), of which, 3.89 square miles (10.08 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 170th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3708 people in the city, organized into 76 households, and 48 families living in the city. The population density was 952.4 people per square mile (367.72/kmē), making it the 255th most densely populated city in Wisconsin. There were 1606 housing units at an average density of 412.9 per square mile (159.42/kmē). The average household size was 2.35 persons, and the average family size was 2.99 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 24.2% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 19% from 45 to 64, and 18.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.1 males. The median age is 36.9 years, the median age of male residents at 34.5 and the median age of female residents at 39.5. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 3652 White, 14 Black or African American, 12 American Indian, 9 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 14 from two or more races and 7 Ohter races.
