Childersburg City is a city located in Talladega and Shelby counties, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The city has a population of 4927 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 4996 in July 2008, making it the 108th most populous in Alabama. Its area is just over 7.92 mi˛ (20.51 sq km), of which, 7.73 square miles (20.02 sq km) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 sq km) of it is water, it is the 171st largest by area in the U.S. state of Alabama.
