Chickasaw County is a county located in Mississippi, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. It is home to over 19440 people (2000 census). The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 18826, It is 53rd most populous county in Mississippi. The county has a total area of 504.27 miē (1306.05 kmē), of which, 501.56 square miles (1299.03 kmē) of it is land and 2.71 square miles (7.02 kmē) of it is water, making it the 49th largest by size in Mississippi.
