Cheyenne County is a United States county located in the United States of Colorado. Cheyenne County had an official population of 2231 in 2000. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 1749, It is the fifth smallest in terms of population. The county extends throughout a territory of 1781.37 square miles (4613.73 sq km ), of which, 1781.35 square miles (4613.68 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 25th largest by total area among Colorado's county.
