Chesterton Town is one of the town of Porter County, Indiana, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. Chesterton Town had an official population of 10488 in 2000. In July 2008, its estimated population was 12705, It is the 69th largest by population in the U.S. state of Indiana. The town extends throughout a territory of 8.63 square miles (22.35 sq km ), of which, 8.51 square miles (22.04 sq km) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 51st largest by total area among Indiana.
