Chester City is a one of the Randolph County, Illinois, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Chester City is home to 5185 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 7835, It is the 313th largest by population in the U.S. state of Illinois. It has total area of 5.9 sq mi (15.28 square kilometre), of which, 5.89 square miles (15.26 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 180th largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
