Chesnee City is one of the city of Cherokee and Spartanburg counties, South Carolina, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 1003 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 1078, It is the 227th largest by population in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It is spread over 0.9 sq mi (2.33 sq km), giving it the 52nd smallest by total area among South Carolina.
