According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2461 inhabitants. It is South Carolina's 150th largest by population . The census designated place comprises an area of 1.8 sq mi (4.66 kmē), of which, 1.77 square miles (4.58 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, it is the 120th smallest by area in the U.S. state of South Carolina.
