Cherokee City is one of the city of Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. The city has a population of 1630 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1437, It is 161st most populous in Oklahoma. The city extends throughout a territory of 1.46 mi˛ (3.78 sq km ), making it the 325th largest by size in Oklahoma.
