Cheriton Town is a town in the Northampton County, Virginia, United States. The population of town in 2000 stood at 499 as per the Census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 469, It is the 70th smallest by population in the U.S. state of Virginia. Its area is just over 1.04 mi˛ (2.69 sq km), of which, 1.03 square miles (2.67 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it Virginia's 91st smallest by total area.

The population density was 485.8 people per square mile (187.57/km˛), it is Virginia's 95th least densely populated town.
