Chelsea Town is a town in the Shelby County, Alabama, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2949 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 4303, It is Alabama's 155th largest by population . The town comprises an area of 10.09 mi˛ (26.13 sq km), of which, 10.04 square miles (26 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, it is the 130th largest in terms of geographical size.
