Chelsea City is one of the city of Tama County, Iowa, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 287 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 272, making it Iowa's 609th largest. It covers total area of 1.01 sq mi (2.62 square kilometre), making it the 365th largest by size in Iowa.
