Chelan County is a one of the county from Washington's 39 counties, located in Western Region (Pacific) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 66616 inhabitants. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 71540, making it Washington's 17th largest county. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2993.62 miē (7753.44 kmē), of which, 2921.37 square miles (7566.31 kmē) of it is land and 72.25 square miles (187.13 kmē) of it is water, it is the third largest in terms of geographical size.
