Chattahoochee County is a United States county located in the United States of Georgia. In 2000, the population was 14882. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 13754, It is the 51st smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. The county has a total area of 251.17 square miles (650.53 sq km), of which, 248.77 square miles (644.31 sq km) of it is land and 2.4 square miles (6.22 sq km) of it is water, it is the 37th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.

The population density was 59.8 people per square mile (23.09/kmē), giving it the 76th most densely populated county among the Georgia. There were 3316 housing units at an average density of 13.3 per square mile (5.14/kmē). The average household size was 3.41 people, and the average family size was 3.64 people. In the county the population was spread out, with 28.4% under the age of 18, 27.9% from 18 to 24, 36.4% from 25 to 44, 5.5% from 45 to 64, and 1.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 171.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 217.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 13754, The racial makeup of the county was 65.77% White, 27.25% Black or African American, 1.07% American Indian, 2.41% Asian, 0.58% Native Hawaiian, and 2.92% from two or more races.
