Chattahoochee City is a city in the Gadsden County, Florida, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3287 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3695, It is the 525th most populous in the U.S. state of Florida. Its area is just over 5.64 sq mi (14.61 sq km), of which, 5.45 square miles (14.12 sq km) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 305th largest by total area among Florida.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 3287 people, 1035 households, and 676 families living in the city. The population density was 602.7 people per square mile (232.7/kmē), giving it the 198th least densely populated city among the Florida. There were 1188 housing units at an average density of 218 per square mile (84.17/kmē). The average household size was 2.25 and the average family size was 2.8. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 17.9% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 26.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 116.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 119.4 males. The median age was 41.2 years, The median age of males was 41 years, for females the median age was 41.6 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 1667 White, 1536 Black or African American, 4 American Indian, 31 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 26 from two or more races and 22 Ohter races.
