Chase County is a one of the county from Kansas's 105 counties, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 3030 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2804, making it Kansas's 17th smallest county. The county has a total area of 778.01 mi˛ (2015.04 sq km), of which, 775.89 square miles (2009.55 sq km) of it is land and 2.12 square miles (5.49 sq km) of it is water, making it Kansas's 50th largest county by total area.

The population density was 3.9 people per square mile (1.51/km˛), making it the 19th least densely populated county in Kansas. In the county the population was spread out, with 24.1% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 18.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 96.2 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 100.6 females. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 2804, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 96.68% White, 1.39% Black or African American, 0.82% American Indian, 0.14% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.96% from two or more races.
