Charles City City is a city in the Floyd County, Iowa, United States. The city has a population of 7812 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 7470, making it the 45th most populous in Iowa. The city spans an area of 6.24 sq mi (16.16 square kilometre), of which, 6.15 square miles (15.93 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 52nd largest in terms of geographical size.
