The July 2008 population estimate is 1117, making it the 130th most populous in West Virginia. The town encompasses an area of 0.69 sq mi (1.79 sq km ), of which, 0.67 square miles (1.74 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 177th largest by area in the U.S. state of West Virginia.
