Chapman City is a city located in the Dickinson County, Kansas, United States. As of 2000 the population was 1241. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1332, giving it the 177th largest population among Kansas. The city encompasses an area of 0.76 square miles (1.97 sq km), it is the 238th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.
