Chanhassen City is a city located in Carver and Hennepin counties, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 20321 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 23480, making it the 44th most populous in Minnesota. Its area is just over 22.9 miē (59.31 kmē), of which, 20.78 square miles (53.82 kmē) of it is land and 2.12 square miles (5.49 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 58th largest by total area in Minnesota.
