Central City City is a one of the Merrick County, Nebraska, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Central City City had an official population of 2998 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 2828, giving it the 46th largest population among Nebraska. The city has a total area of 1.99 mi˛ (5.15 square kilometre), it is the 44th largest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.
