Celina City is one of the city of Clay County, Tennessee, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1379 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1337, making it Tennessee's 223rd largest. It covers total area of 1.21 sq mi (3.13 kmē), it is the 60th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1379 people in the city, organized into 5369 households, and 3232 families living in the city. The population density was 1144 people per square mile (441.7/kmē), giving it the 47th most densely populated city among the Tennessee. There were 709 housing units at an average density of 586 per square mile (226.26/kmē). The average household size was 2.12 persons, and the average family size was 2.75 persons.
