Cedar Key City is a city in the Levy County, Florida, United States. The city has a population of 790 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 977, It is Florida's 123rd smallest by population . It covers total area of 2.04 sq mi (5.28 square kilometre), of which, 0.91 square miles (2.36 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.13 square miles (2.93 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 593rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
