Cayce City is a city located in the Lexington County, South Carolina, United States. As of 2000 the population was 12150. The July 2008 population estimate is 12646, It is the 36th most populous in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It has total area of 11.26 square miles (29.16 kmē), of which, 10.9 square miles (28.23 kmē) of it is land and 0.36 square miles (0.93 kmē) of it is water, it is the 33rd largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12150 people, 5133 households, and 3081 families residing in the city. The population density was 1114.6 people per square mile (430.35/kmē), it is South Carolina's 89th most densely populated city. There were 5517 housing units at an average density of 506.1 per square mile (195.41/kmē). The average household size was 2.36 and the average family size was 2.89. In the city the population was spread out, with 20.7% under the age of 18, 14.1% from 18 to 24, 28.6% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who were 65 or older.
