Cassia County is a county located in Idaho, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 21416 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 21348, It is the 16th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Idaho. It is spread over 2580.31 sq mi (6682.97 square kilometre), of which, 2566.45 square miles (6647.07 square kilometre ) of it is land and 13.86 square miles (35.9 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Idaho's ninth largest county by total area.

The population density was 8.3 people per square mile (3.2/kmē), it would be the 22nd most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Idaho. There were 7862 housing units at an average density of 3.1 per square mile (1.2/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.99 persons, and the average family size was 3.46 persons. In the county Age distribution was 34.1% under the age of 18, 9% from 18 to 24, 24.5% from 25 to 44, 19.6% from 45 to 64, and 12.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 98.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 101.4 females. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 21348, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 96.27% White, 0.44% Black or African American, 1.35% American Indian, 0.46% Asian, 0.06% Native Hawaiian, and 1.42% from two or more races.
