Casper City is a city located in Natrona County, Wyoming, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. It is home to over 49644 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 54047, It is the second largest in terms of population. The city extends throughout a territory of 24.26 sq mi (62.83 kmē ), of which, 23.95 square miles (62.03 kmē) of it is land and 0.32 square miles (0.83 kmē) of it is water, making it the 20th largest by size in Wyoming. It is ranks ninth in the size of its inland waterways in Wyoming.

The population density was 2073.2 people per square mile (800.47/kmē), it is Wyoming's seventh most densely populated city.
