Cary Town is one of the town of Wake County, North Carolina, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 94536. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 129545, making it the seventh most populous in North Carolina. Its area is just over 43.47 miē (112.59 kmē), of which, 42.09 square miles (109.01 kmē) of it is land and 1.38 square miles (3.57 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 11th largest by total area among North Carolina. It is ranks 14 in the size of its inland waterways in North Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 94536 people, 34906 households, and 25146 families residing in the town. The population density was 2246 people per square mile (867.19/kmē), giving it the eighth most densely populated town among the North Carolina. There were 36863 housing units at an average density of 875.8 per square mile (338.15/kmē). The average household size was 2.69 people, and the average family size was 3.18 people. In the Cary Town, 29.1% of the population was under the age of 18, 6.6% were 18 to 24, 38.6% were 25 to 44, 20.4% were 45 to 64, and 5.4% who were 65 or older.
