Carthage Village is a city located in Jefferson County, New York, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. The population of the city was 3721 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 3744, It is the 406th largest by population in the U.S. state of New York. It has total area of 2.68 sq mi (6.94 sq km), of which, 2.51 square miles (6.5 sq km) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 sq km) of it is water, it is the 422nd largest by area in the U.S. state of New York.
