Carrollton City is a city located in Carroll County, Georgia, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 19843 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 23291, making it Georgia's 37th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 20.69 miē (53.59 kmē ), of which, 20.17 square miles (52.24 kmē) of it is land and 0.52 square miles (1.35 kmē) of it is water, it is the 25th largest in terms of geographical size.

The median age is 26.3 years, The median age of males was 25.9 years, for females the median age was 27 years. The racial makeup of the city was 62.49% White, 31.16% Black or African American, 0.22% American Indian, 1.26% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, 1.98% from two or more races and 2.88% Other races.
