Carolina Beach Town, New Hanover County, North Carolina is a town located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 4701 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 5864, It is North Carolina's 128th largest by population . The town comprises an area of 2.46 sq mi (6.37 kmē), of which, 2.25 square miles (5.83 kmē) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 328th largest by total area in North Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4701 people, 2296 households, and 1253 families residing in the town. The population density was 2086.4 people per square mile (805.56/kmē), it is the 16th most densely populated town in the U.S. state of North Carolina. There were 4086 housing units at an average density of 1816 per square mile (701.16/kmē). The average household size was 2.03 persons, and the average family size was 2.59 persons.
