Carlton County is a one of the county from Minnesota's 87 counties, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Carlton County had an official population of 31671 in 2000. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 33933, It is the 30th most populous county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It has total area of 875.23 miē (2266.84 kmē), of which, 860.33 square miles (2228.24 kmē) of it is land and 14.9 square miles (38.59 kmē) of it is water, it is the 27th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
