Carlisle City is a one of the Lonoke County, Arkansas, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. It is home to over 2304 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2408, It is the 117th most populous in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The city encompasses an area of 4.9 sq mi (12.69 sq km ), of which, 4.88 square miles (12.64 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, making it the 106th largest by size in Arkansas.

The population density was 471.7 people per square mile (182.12/kmē), it is the 276th most populated city in terms of population density. The racial makeup of the city was 1988 White, 287 Black or African American, 12 American Indian, 5 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 12 from two or more races and Ohter races.
