Carlin City is one of the city of Elko County, Nevada, located towards the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The city has a population of 2161 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 2083 in July 2008, It is Nevada's 45th largest by population . The city encompasses an area of 9.21 mi˛ (23.85 sq km), makes it the 46th largest by total area in Nevada.
